John Neubauer has more than 27 years of music education experience, serving in choral music director roles at high schools in Illinois and California.
In addition to numerous choir championship accomplishments, Mr. Neubauer also has been previously recognized as an Outstanding Illinois Arts Educator. He graduated from Millikin University (Decatur, Ill.) in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in music education and vocal/choral music education.
Shannan O’Dowd graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education and from Louisiana State University with a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. Most recently, she was the Choral Director at Johns Creek High School and the Children’s and Youth Choir Director at St. Aloysius Church in Baton Rouge, LA. She won the 2017 Shuler Award for Music Direction for the JCHS production of Cinderella and was a nominee for Music Direction for the 2018 JCHS production of 42nd Street. Prior to JCHS, Ms. O’Dowd taught music theory for the Savannah Children’s Choir Summer Camp and student taught at Hillgrove High School in Cobb County. Ms. O’Dowd currently performs in Coro Vocati, a professional chamber choir based out of Atlanta. She is thrilled to work with such an incredible ensemble of students and colleagues at Noblesville!
